Susana Maria Reboreda Morillo is a Full Professor of Ancient History at the University of Vigo's Faculty of History since January 2024, where she has intermittently worked since earlier periods. She currently serves as vice-rector of University Extension (since June 2020) and leads the Archaeology, Antiquity and Territory Studies Group (GEAAT) since February 2022 while collaborating with the Deméter Group at the University of Oviedo since 2010. Her work spans five five-year research terms and four active research sections until 2025.
- Doctorate in Ancient History (1993) from University of Santiago de Compostela
- Degree in Geography and History (1986) with specializations in Ancient History and Prehistoric Archaeology
Her research focuses on Greek Antiquity, particularly Homeric texts, Greek mythology, and gender dynamics in ancient societies. She analyzes women's roles in myth/histories, motherhood's socio-political importance, and weapon symbolism transitions from Bronze to Iron Age. Current research interests include INTRAFAMILY VULNERABILITY AND POLITICS IN THE ANCIENT WORLD (2021-2025) and EU-funded projects like CrossCult (2017-2020, 2021-2023).

- Pioneered studies on divine breastfeeding symbolism (Hera/Heracles)
Recipient of the Extraordinary Doctorate Award from USC, she has participated in MINECO projects (HAR2008-01368; HAR2017-82521-P) and European Horizon 2020 initiatives. Her innovative work combines cultural heritage technologies with traditional archaeology.
