Prof. Susan Williams is a Professor of Social Informatics at the University of Koblenz’s Institute for IS Research, leading the Enterprise Information Management Research Group. She is a founder of the Center for Enterprise Information Research (CEIR) and has held visiting professorships at the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Sydney. Her work focuses on sociotechnical change, digital workplace design, and collaborative technology scaling. Williams has extensive industry collaborations, including the University Competence Center for Collaboration Technologies (UCT) and IndustryConnect. She has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), Australian Research Council (ARC), EU, and others. Her research employs digital ethnography and trace analytics to study distributed work practices. She will retire in September 2025 and no longer accepts thesis students.
