Susan Squier

Susan Squier is the Julia Brill Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and English at The Pennsylvania State University. Her research bridges feminist theory, disability studies, modernist literature, and the cultural studies of science and medicine. She explores intersections of visual narrative forms—particularly graphic medicine—with healthcare communication, ethical practice, and patient empowerment.
