Susan S. Chuang is a Full Professor at the Department of Family Relations & Applied Nutrition, University of Guelph. She holds an academic affiliation with the College of Social & Applied Human Sciences. Her research focuses on parenting, fathering, child development, and sociocultural contexts, particularly among immigrant families (e.g., Chinese Canadian, Latina/o, Black, Brazilian). She has led cross-cultural studies funded by SSHRC, examining parenting practices, cannabis use impacts on families, and men's experiences with intimate partner violence. Dr. Chuang is also an accredited family mediator and organizes international conferences like the International Interdisciplinary Conference on Fatherhood and Men's Experiences with Violence and Victimization. She has edited Springer book series and co-authored textbooks, including the Canadianized Essentials of Lifespan Development.
