Susan Ostermann

Susan Ostermann is Associate Professor of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. Her research examines regulatory compliance in developing contexts, particularly environmental regulation and policy implementation in South Asia.

Recent work analyzes cross-border policy diffusion of anti-FGM legislation and compliance mechanisms in resource-constrained settings. Fieldwork in South Asia informs her comparative approach to governance challenges.
