Susan Madsen is a Professor of Organizational Leadership at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business within Utah State University. As the Founding Director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP), she leads the statewide social change movement A Bolder Way Forward, focusing on advancing opportunities for women through research, policy briefs, and community engagement. She has authored or edited nine books and hundreds of articles, chapters, and reports, with her work featured in major outlets like The New York Times, Forbes, and Chronicle of Higher Education.
- Research Interests: Her work emphasizes women’s leadership development, organizational behavior, and policy research, particularly addressing systemic barriers affecting women in Utah and globally. She has spearheaded initiatives on mental health, financial equity, and child welfare, producing actionable reports and hosting events to drive societal change.
