Alexander C. Romney is an Associate Professor in the Marketing and Strategy Department at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, Utah State University. His research focuses on employee voice, meaningful work, leadership, and team dynamics. He holds a PhD in Management (Organizational Behavior) from the University of Utah and a BA in History from Brigham Young University.

Dr. Romney’s research explores how employees communicate concerns, find purpose in their work, and collaborate effectively in teams. His recent work examines the consequences of help offer rejection, urgency in voice suppression, and trust-building leadership strategies. He has been recognized with awards including Researcher of the Year (2025), Teacher of the Year (2022), and Undergraduate Research Mentor of the Year (2021).
He teaches courses on leadership and team management, emphasizing practical applications through exercises like the “Empowering Flight Exercise” and “Loki Equipment Exercise.” His articles span journals such as Journal of Management, Organization Science, and Human Relations, addressing topics like meeting efficiency, trust dynamics, and voice delivery strategies.
