Susan Lunte is the Ralph N. Adams Distinguished Professor and Director of the Adams Institute for Bioanalytical Chemistry and COBRE Center on Molecular Analysis of Disease Pathways at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. Her research focuses on developing microanalytical methods for studying peptide transport/metabolism across the blood-brain barrier, with applications in neurochemistry and drug design.

Her group has developed portable microchip systems for biomedical analysis and published extensively on carnosine's neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties.
Her laboratory's recent articles highlight advancements in telemetry-enabled on-animal sensors, 3D-printed analytical platforms, and integrated microfluidic devices for single-cell analysis. These studies intersect with Alzheimer's disease, chronic pain, depression, and cancer research applications.
