Her academic credentials include:
- Professional Doctorate in International Health from Curtin University (2009)
- Master of Public Health from Curtin University (1993)
Dr. Lee's research spans women’s health, cross-cultural care, early intervention, and research translation into policy, with expertise in bilingual collaboration, oral health, and community-based program design. Her work directly supports UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health equity and wellbeing, emphasizing practical applications in diverse communities.
Recent publications (2022) reveal a strong focus on perinatal mental health among Muslim mothers through co-design methodologies and collaborative approaches to maternal-infant wellbeing, building on her foundational 2018 work in oral health capacity within women's services. These outputs demonstrate consistent translation of research into service improvements for vulnerable populations.
Her professional recognition includes:
- Individual Excellence Award, WA Multicultural Community Service Awards (2013)
While Dr. Lee has extensive experience mentoring service providers and organizations, no formal graduate students are documented in available records. Her community engagement includes speaking at 2020 innovation projects focused on maternal health initiatives.
She actively collaborates within the Equity and Oral Health Research Group, developing interdisciplinary strategies to address health disparities through culturally responsive frameworks and workforce development in Western Australian health services.
