Susan Landale

Susan Landale is a Visiting Professor of Organ at the Royal Academy of Music, UK, and previously served as a professor at the National Regional Conservatoire in Rueil-Malmaison, France. She holds dual roles as a renowned concert organist and educator, with over 18 years as titular organist at St George’s Anglican Church, Paris. Her career spans international performances, recordings, and jury service at prestigious competitions like St Albans, Calgary, and Chartres.

Her research focuses on organ performance, particularly works by Olivier Messiaen, Louis Vierne, and Petr Eben. Her interpretations of 20th-century and contemporary classical music are globally celebrated, with studies translated into multiple languages. She co-holds the organist role at Paris’ Cathedral Saint-Louis des Invalides.

Award-winning recordings include acclaimed albums of Baroque and Romantic organ compositions. She directs the Biarritz International Organ Competition and contributes to the Grand Prix de Chartres committee.
