Susan J. Van Weelden

Prof. Susan J. Van Weelden is a part-time Adjunct Professor of Business at Redeemer University, specializing in Accounting and Strategic Management. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has contributed to 20+ courses across Accounting, Management, and Marketing. She holds an MBA in Accounting from McMaster University (1988) and certifications as a CPA and CMA (1990). Beyond teaching, she has served as Academic Dean for eight years and Department Chair for 25 years, emphasizing her leadership in academia.

Her research focuses on integrating faith-based principles into business practices, evident in co-authored works like Imago Dei: How Accountants Glorify God. She has published extensively through Ivey Publishing and Harvard Business Publishing, with case studies addressing strategic challenges in diverse sectors like agribusiness, software, and non-profits.

Prof. Van Weelden’s professional memberships include the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. Her work extends to CMA Canada, where she contributed to national exam marking and training materials. She enjoys swimming, Rocky Mountain excursions, and has a large extended family with 5 siblings, 12 nieces/nephews, and 28 great-nieces/nephews.
