Susan Eldridge

Dr. Susan Eldridge is an Associate Dean for Faculty, Research, and Planning at the University of Nebraska Omaha's College of Business Administration and holds the rank of Professor in the School of Accounting. She previously served as Director of the School of Accounting from 2009 to 2021. Her expertise spans financial accounting, strategic academic planning, and innovative teaching methodologies. She is a Certified Public Accountant (NC) and active in professional organizations such as the American Accounting Association.

Education:

• PhD in Business/Accounting, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1997)

Research Interests: Empirical analyses of financial reporting, disclosure impacts, and pedagogical innovations in accounting education. Her work has been published in journals like Issues in Accounting Education and Journal of Accounting, Ethics and Public Policy.

Awards and Recognition:

• 2018 Woman Leader in Nebraska Education
• Lady Vestey Award (2017)

Service and Leadership: Serves on university committees, leads strategic initiatives, and fosters industry partnerships. Prior to academia, she worked in public accounting and as a construction industry controller.
