Susan Davies

Susan Davies is a Research Associate in the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research & Primary Care at the University of Manchester. Her work focuses on adult social care, particularly the workforce and pandemic impacts. She is conducting a PhD on the pandemic's effects on social care, funded by an NIHR career award.

• MSc (with Merit) Social Research Methods and Statistics (part-time), University of Manchester (2006)
• PhD in Public Health (in progress), University of Manchester (2024 submission)

Research Interests: Analysis of routinely collected social care data, adult social care workforce challenges, community support for older adults and dementia patients, methodological advancements in data collection, and cost-effectiveness evaluations of interventions. Her work contributes to UN SDGs related to health and well-being, sustainable cities, and reducing inequalities.
