Sunyoung Park is a Professor at the Department of History, Sejong University, specializing in East Asian history and international relations. Her work bridges modern Chinese and Japanese history with contemporary geopolitical dynamics in the region.

Recent publications (2021–2024) include analyses of the July Fourth Joint Declaration, inter-Korean cooperation, and geopolitical strategies in East Asia. These works highlight her engagement with international relations, political journalism, and cultural diplomacy.
She has collaborated extensively on regional divisions, reunification, and transnational development projects, particularly in East Asia. Her expertise in historical narrative and policy analysis positions her as a key contributor to understanding contemporary geopolitical shifts.
