Sunita Chepuri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Puget Sound. She holds a BA from Bowdoin College (2014), an MS (2017), and a PhD (2020) in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on algebraic combinatorics, particularly total positivity and cluster algebras. She has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Michigan (supported by the Center for Inquiry-Based Learning) and the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM).
- Education:
- B.A. in Math & Government & Legal Studies, Bowdoin College, 2014
- M.S. in Mathematics, University of Minnesota, 2017
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, University of Minnesota, 2020
- Teaching: Current courses include Calculus & Analytic Geometry I, Calculus/Analytic Geometry II, and Theoretical Mathematics (Fall 2025).
Her scholarly work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches in algebraic structures, with a focus on advancing combinatorial methods in abstract mathematics. Though no specific awards or publications are listed here, her postdoctoral research highlights engagement with computational and experimental mathematical frameworks.
