Sungjoon Cho is a Professor of Law at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, where he has served as full-time faculty since 2003. He has held visiting appointments at prestigious institutions including Northwestern Law School, Seoul National University School of Law, and Catholic University of Lublin. Cho serves on the Arbitration Panel Roster under the Korea–EU Free Trade Agreement and has advised multiple governments on trade policy.

Cho’s research focuses on international legal compliance, economic integration, and WTO institutional dynamics. His work bridges international economic law, comparative legal systems, and global governance.

His scholarship frequently appears in top journals like European Journal of International Law and American Journal of Comparative Law.
