Sung Ju Ahn is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Otis College of Art and Design, affiliated with the BFA Animation department under Liberal Arts and Sciences. They are currently working on their second novel, All White, and have been actively involved in literary presentations, including the 2021 Bread Loaf Lunchtime Reading Series and the 2021 AICAD Symposium presentation, The Story of Now.

Ahn's research and creative work span Creative Writing, Screenwriting, and Multi-Media Performance Art, blending literary storytelling with visual and advertising narratives. Their practice extends to advertising strategy for major brands and television production.
Ahn has received competitive awards, including the 2021 Rona Jaffe Scholarship for the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference and the 1993 LA Arts Recovery Grant for Love In the Riots. They have been honored with multiple Otis Faculty Development and Research Grants (2014–2021, 2012, 2016).
As a playwright, Ahn had readings of Midwife Shin at Bread Loaf (2014), Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center (2013), and participated in the LA Theatre Center's 1994 Playwright in Residence program. Their professional experience includes roles as a Brand Strategist and Copywriter for clients like Paul Mitchell and Reebok, as well as producing TV shows such as Homes with Style at Propaganda Films.
