Summer L. Pearrow serves as Adjunct Professor for Criminal Justice Online and Graduate Programs at Newberry College while working full-time as a Law Enforcement Agent and Risk Management Training Specialist with the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services. She holds an M.S. in Forensic Psychology from Grand Canyon University and is completing a Ph.D. in Law Enforcement at Liberty University, with dissertation research on crisis intervention models.
Her professional expertise includes police training, crisis negotiation, risk assessment, and therapy K-9 handling. Pearrow is certified as a BID instructor, NRA firearms instructor, and AHA CPR instructor. She previously served as a deputy and training instructor at Richland County Sheriff's Department, where she received the 2021 Professional Standard's Deputy of the Year award for her work on the CIT team and ICAC investigations.
Her interdisciplinary research bridges forensic psychology, law enforcement practices, and clinical counseling.
