Professor Sumeet Walia is a leading academic and innovator at RMIT University's School of Engineering, specializing in nanoelectronics, photonics, and materials engineering. As Director of the RMIT Centre for Opto-electronic Materials and Sensors (COMAS), he focuses on translating advanced material systems into real-world applications in healthcare, energy, and manufacturing. His research emphasizes low-dimensional materials, neuromorphic devices, and sensor technologies, with over 160 peer-reviewed publications and 12 patents.
