Dr. Sulaiman Fadlallah is a Senior Lecturer in Engineering (Mechanical) at the University of Huddersfield's School of Computing and Engineering, affiliated with the Centre for Thermofluids, Energy Systems and High-Performance Computing. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University (Oman), and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand).
Dr. Fadlallah's research focuses on renewable energy systems and computational mechanics. Key areas include:
- Solar energy technologies (CSP, PV, heliostat design)
- Fluid-structure interaction and computational fluid dynamics
- Composite materials for energy applications
- Techno-economic analysis of renewable systems
- Environmental impact assessment of industrial emissions
His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on solar energy optimization (2020-2025), with recurring themes in wind-structure interactions, composite material applications for renewable systems, and sustainable energy transitions in North Africa. Earlier work (2014-2019) established foundations in environmental monitoring and control systems.
Dr. Fadlallah is currently accepting PhD students for research projects in his areas of expertise. He maintains professional collaborations through the Centre for Thermofluids and previously held positions at Auckland University of Technology (Lecturer), MORKS REID (Mechanical Engineer), and research roles at Lincoln University and Sultan Qaboos University.
