Suk-Young (John) Kang is an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Work within the College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA) at Binghamton University. His research focuses on mental health among Asian immigrant elders, family caregiving dynamics, and the role of technology in aging societies. He holds a PhD and MSSW from Columbia University and a BA from Seoul National University.

His work emphasizes social justice for displaced communities and the ethical dimensions of welfare technology.
