Paul Urbanski is an Associate Professor at Monmouth University's School of Social Work, serving as a full-time faculty member since 2013. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, including Senior Practicum, Evaluation of Practice Effectiveness, and Intersecting Ethics of Social Work.

His research examines institutional impacts on older adults, service access for transgender persons of color in poverty, and experiences of Korean American grandparents in transnational caregiving roles. He is also developing studies on older adults transitioning from the criminal justice system and analyzing transformative learning in Monmouth University alumni.
Recent publications focus on social work pedagogy through the arts and early career patterns in social work education. International presentations include lectures at KatHO University (Germany), Hallym University (South Korea), and National Taiwan University.
He serves as a board chairperson for the Mood Disorder Support Groups of New York and engages in professional service through the Council on Social Work Education and Society for Social Work Research.
