Sujay Sinha

Sujay Sinha is a Senior Lecturer in Business Strategy and Director of the MBA program at the University of East London’s Department of Strategy and Leadership. He leads the MBA programme strategically and operationally. With a professional career spanning 27 years, he divides his experience between industry roles at Reliance Industries and General Electric and academia. He holds a PhD (Anglia Ruskin University), MBA (University of Liverpool), MA (Delhi University), and BA (St. Stephen’s College).

Research Interests: His work focuses on business education, international partnerships, platform ecosystems, and emerging markets (especially India). Recent contributions include research on institutional theory applied to private business schools in India. He won the Best Developmental Paper Award at BAM 2023 and is coordinating the 2023 Aston India Conference.

External Roles: Visiting faculty at G.D. Goenka University and B.M. Munjal University in India. Key Publications: A forthcoming book on ‘The Legitimisation of Private Business Schools In India’ (2025), and peer-reviewed journal articles exploring resource-based and institutional theories in Indian higher education.

Teaching: Leads the MBA program at UEL, emphasizing leadership and business strategy. Awards: BAM 2023 Best Developmental Paper Award. Grants & Labs: Collaborates with UK institutions on capacity-building initiatives and social audit projects in India.
