Sujat Sen is an Associate Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL). He specializes in electrochemistry, electrochemical engineering, and materials science, focusing on energy storage and conversion technologies such as batteries, fuel cells, and electrolyzers. His research involves synthesizing nanomaterials and testing their applications in real-world devices, often collaborating with undergraduate students.
Dr. Sen holds a PhD in Chemistry from Brown University (2014), an MS in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Reading (UK), and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Chemistry from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. Prior to UWL, he conducted postdoctoral research at MIT's Department of Chemical Engineering and Argonne National Lab’s Energy Systems Division.
His teaching includes courses like Chemistry of Materials, Instrumental Chemistry, and General Chemistry. He emphasizes hands-on laboratory experiences and scientific writing skills.
