Professor Suha BERBEROGLU heads the Remote Sensing and GIS department at Çukurova University, specializing in geospatial analysis of Mediterranean ecosystems. His research integrates landscape planning with climate change impact assessments using ecosystem modeling approaches.
BERBEROGLU develops methodologies for monitoring landscape pattern changes in coastal wetlands, projects urban expansion impacts on green infrastructure, and models ecosystem responses to environmental stressors. His work applies satellite remote sensing and GIS to biodiversity mapping, hydrological modeling, and carbon cycle analysis.
As founder of the Landscape Architecture Remote Sensing and GIS Lab, he advances the application of geospatial technologies in environmental planning.
