Sue Vice serves as Professor of English Literature at the University of Sheffield, where she has held academic positions continuously since 1989. She progressed from Lecturer (1989-1999) to Senior Lecturer (1999-2004) before attaining her current professorship in 2004, and served as Head of the School of English from 2007 to 2011.
Her research critically examines British Jewish cultural identity through literary and cinematic lenses, with particular focus on Holocaust representation in 20th/21st-century comparative literature. She investigates intersections between historical trauma narratives and media studies, contributing significantly to postwar literary scholarship.
