Sue Turner is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria Law School with expertise in business and finance law regulation. She previously served as Director of Education - CPD at the Law School and is a member of the Financial Crime Compliance Research Interest Group. Prior to academia, she worked as a banking and finance solicitor at a global law firm. Her research focuses on financial regulation and crime, particularly anti-money laundering policy and beneficial ownership frameworks.
Education: PGDip in Law (2000–2099). Research projects include examining anti-corruption efforts in Nigeria, non-conviction-based asset recovery mechanisms, and counterfeiting in China's automotive sector. Collaborations involve international studies on transnational crime and legal compliance.
