Sue Tootoonchian

Sue Tootoonchian is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Economics and Quantitative Methods at London Metropolitan University, affiliated with the Guildhall School of Business and Law. She holds a BA in Economics from Kingston University (1982), an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics (1984), and an MBA from London Metropolitan University (1997). Her career began at Kingston University in 1984 before joining London Met in 1985, where she advanced to Senior Lecturer in 1988. She has also taught at the LSE International Summer School (1990–96) and held administrative roles such as Course Leader for BA Hospitality Management, Academic Liaison Tutor for Vietnam collaborations, and member of various committees.

Her research focuses on Foreign Direct Investment in developing countries, economic growth, labour market discrimination, globalization, and IT-based teaching methods. She has supervised numerous dissertations and contributed to teaching initiatives like the Metal Project (2007–08). Her publications include analyses on leadership dynamics and comparative apparel market studies. She has been a guest speaker at institutions like Lyon 3 University and Bahar Institute in Iran.
