Soroush Avakh Darestani

Dr. Soroush Avakh Darestani is a Senior Lecturer in Business and Management at the Guildhall School of Business and Law, London Metropolitan University. He holds a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University Putra Malaysia (2010). Previously, he worked as a lecturer at Coventry University, Sunway University Business School, and as an Assistant Professor at IAU, Iran.

Teaching & Research: Specializes in operations management, project management, and supply chain management. Research focuses on sustainable supply chains, lean production, quality management, and optimization techniques. He has over 10 years of experience supervising master's and PhD students.

Industrial Experience: Extensive background in automotive, construction, manufacturing, food, and polymer industries, alongside quality management consultancy for SMEs and multinational companies.

Publications: Over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and 60 conference papers in high-impact journals like ENERGY, CAIE, ASOC, and OPSEARCH. Key themes include green lean manufacturing, supply chain risk evaluation, and fuzzy optimization models.

Awards & Grants: Secured £6,000 grant from London Met (2021) for research initiatives. Professional memberships include Certified Management and Business Educator (Chartered ABS), Member of Association for Project Management (MAPM), and Associate Fellow in Higher Education (AFHEA).

Conference Contributions: Served as a committee member for international conferences like DANT 2019 (Iran) and IEIM 2020 (France), and track chair for the 2022 Industrial Engineering Conference (Turkey).
