Dr. Marina Papalexi is a Senior Lecturer in Operations and Project Management and Programme Leader for the MSc in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. She specializes in operations management improvement, sustainable supply chains, Industry 4.0 technologies, and sports analytics, with significant contributions to academic literature and industry collaborations.
Her research focuses on optimizing complex systems through innovative strategies such as blockchain integration, lean management, and IoT applications. Key areas include pharmaceutical supply chain efficiency, digital transformation in footwear manufacturing, and tactical analysis in professional football. She has led multiple Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) projects, securing over £370,000 in funding.
- Grants & Projects: Lead academic on £186,977 KTP project for Vivobarefoot’s digital supply chain; managed £105,962 ESRC-funded NHS Lean implementation.
