Dr. Subir Sinha is Reader in the Theory and Politics of Development at SOAS University of London, serving as Director of the SOAS South Asia Institute. He earned his BA from the University of Delhi and MA/PhD from Northwestern University.
His research examines institutional change in development contexts, with current projects on decentralized governance in India, agrarian movements, and the global fishworkers' movement. He investigates how social movements reshape state-society relations in postcolonial contexts.
