Subhashni Raj is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa's College of Social Sciences. Her interdisciplinary work bridges climate change research with food and water security planning for marginalized communities.
- Education: PhD in Urban and Regional Planning (University at Buffalo), M.U.P in Environmental Planning (University at Buffalo), B.Sc. in Microbiology, Chemistry and Zoology (Bangalore University)
Her research employs mixed methods (statistical and spatial analysis, interviews, policy analysis) to examine climate impacts on food-water-energy systems and identify adaptation strategies. Key projects include analyzing agricultural competition in California general plans and developing network approaches for urban land teleconnections.
