Subhashis Nandy, PhD, is a 3/4-Time Faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Rowan University. He holds a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, an M.S. from Colorado State University, an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to academia, he worked as a post-doctoral scholar at MIT and spent 16 years in the chemical industry as a Research Scientist in process development. He has taught statistics for 12 years at Camden County College and has been at Rowan University for six years. His research focuses on interdisciplinary applications of chemical engineering and statistics, with over 20 publications in engineering and business journals.
Dr. Nandy’s teaching responsibilities include multiple sections of STAT 2260 (Statistics I) in Spring 2025. His expertise bridges industrial research and statistical education, reflecting his diverse career in academia and industry. Office hours are held TR 2:00-3:00 PM in the Enterprise building.
