Su Yanhua

Su Yanhua is a Research Fellow at the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, since July 2007. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from Shandong Agricultural University (1992), a Master’s in Plant Molecular Nutrition from the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science (1997), and a Doctor of Science in Plant Biochemistry and Molecular Physiology from a joint program in France (2001). He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Tuebingen (2001-2003) and the University of Pennsylvania (2003-2007).

Research Interests focus on the molecular mechanisms of nutrient transport (nitrogen and potassium) and signaling regulation in rice and Arabidopsis thaliana. His work employs electrophysiology, molecular biology, and transgenic approaches (knockout, overexpression) to analyze gene expression, cellular localization, and physiological functions.

Publications include high-impact studies in Cell, The Plant Cell, Plant Physiology, and Journal of Biological Chemistry, covering ion channels, transporter families, and nutrient uptake dynamics. His projects include the National Key Basic Research and Development Program (973) and CAS Knowledge Innovation Frontier Projects.

International Collaborations span renowned labs in France, Germany, and the U.S., reflecting his expertise in electrophysiology and molecular physiology of transporters.
