Stéphane Haffemayer is a Full Professor of Modern History at Université Rouen-Normandie (since 2018), specializing in political cultures and media during 17th-century revolts and revolutions. He holds leadership roles including Director of the GRHis research unit (since 2023), Vice-Dean for Research at the UFR LSH (2023–2025), and former Director of the Master's program in History (2019–2024). His research focuses on the interplay between media (pamphlets, engravings, songs) and political communication during conflicts like the Fronde and the English Revolution. He has authored/co-authored over 28 books and 15 peer-reviewed articles, including works on Samuel Hartlib's intellectual networks and the Mazarinades. His current projects include a biographical study of Oliver Cromwell and international collaborations on digital humanities initiatives.
