Stuart Rosenthal is the Maxwell Advisory Board Professor of Economics at Syracuse University's Department of Economics and a Senior Research Associate at the Maxwell School Center for Policy Research. He has served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Urban Economics since 2007, contributing to academic discourse in urban and real estate economics. His research focuses on urban spatial structure, housing markets, agglomeration economies, and the interplay between entrepreneurship and urban success. From 2017–2021, he chaired the Syracuse Economics Department, fostering institutional leadership alongside his scholarly work.
Dr. Rosenthal's expertise spans commercial real estate dynamics, the impact of mortgage markets on urban development, and policy implications of housing cycles.
