Stuart Lubarsky, MD, MHPE, serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Department of Neurology at McGill University's Faculty of Medicine. He is an attending physician at the Montreal General Hospital and holds multiple leadership roles including Director of the Urgent Neurology Clinic, Chair of the Undergraduate Neurology Training Committee, Founder and Director of the MUHC Tele-Neurology Clinic, and Director of the Education Research Program for the American Academy of Neurology.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Yale University (1998), medical training at McGill University, and a Master's Degree in Health Professions Education from the University of Maastricht. His research focuses on medical education with emphasis on clinical reasoning and competence assessment in medical trainees, conducted through the McGill Centre for Medical Education.
Dr. Lubarsky has received significant recognition including McGill's Richard & Sylvia Cruess Faculty Scholar in Medical Education award (2015). His scholarly work demonstrates consistent contributions to neurology education and innovative telemedicine applications. As an educator and clinician leader, he oversees critical neurology training programs and clinic operations while advancing assessment methodologies for medical competence.
