Stuart Durkin is Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Science at the University of Aberdeen. With a PhD and SFHEA status, his career includes diverse professional experiences prior to academia.
His research examines ethnic politics, conflict resolution, and peace education policy, with regional focus on the Basque Country. He currently supervises PhD candidates studying hybrid warfare, democratization in Nepal, and insurgent operations.
Teaching responsibilities include courses on Spanish politics, dirty wars, political research methods, and employability. His pedagogical research explores business community engagement and project-based learning.
