Professor Stuart Carney is a Professor and Dean of the Medical School at the University of Queensland's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. He holds the Garnett Passe and Rodney Williams Memorial Foundation Chair in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. His academic credentials include a Masters (Coursework) in Public Health from Harvard University and qualifications from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Professor Carney's research interests focus on medical education reform, psychiatry career pathway development, and evidence-based practices in healthcare.
