Steven Sloane is an internationally renowned American-Israeli conductor currently serving as Music Director of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra (since 2020) and Professor of Conducting at Berlin University of the Arts, where he founded the International Conducting Academy Berlin (ICAB) in 2013. Previously, he was General Music Director of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra from 1994 to 2021, transforming it into one of Germany's leading orchestras and overseeing the inauguration of its dedicated music center, the Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr.
