Steven Sahyun

Steven Sahyun is an Associate Professor in the Physics Department at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater within the College of Letters and Sciences. He has taught at the university since 2001 and previously served as Department Chair (2008-2012, 2018-2021) and Radiation Safety Officer (2004-2018).

• M.S. in Physics: Montana State University
• Ph.D. in Physics: Oregon State University

His research focuses on physics education, sonification (non-visual data representation), and accessible learning tools. He develops interactive HTML5 physics applets and 3D printed educational objects for accessible learning.

Recent articles include simulations on Newton's Second Law, Centripetal Force, Magnetic Poles, and Frictionless Motion, emphasizing interactive educational technology and accessible physics instruction.
