Steven Qiang Wang

Steven Qiang Wang is a Professor at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Carleton University. His research focuses on Finite Fields and their applications in Cryptography, Coding Theory, Combinatorics, Algebra, and Number Theory. He serves on the editorial boards of Applicable Algebra in Engineering, Communication and Computing and Finite Fields and their Applications.

He teaches courses such as Abstract Algebra, Linear Algebra III, and Combinatorial Optimization, and has advised numerous graduate students and postdocs. His work includes contributions to permutation polynomials, coding theory, and cryptographic sequences. He organizes seminars like the Carleton Finite Fields eSeminar and the Ottawa-Carleton Combinatorics and Optimization Seminar.
