Steven Pollard is a Lecturer in Management Development at Ulster University Business School, specializing in Entrepreneurship, SME Development, and Social Enterprise. With over 30 years of experience in academic-industry collaboration, he focuses on evidence-based policy implementation for local economic growth.
- Education: Master in Executive Leadership (2010), MBA (Ulster University, 1998), Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (Teesside, 1992), Bachelor in Business & Finance (Teesside, 1991)
His research explores transformational entrepreneurship, community-oriented enterprise policy, and inclusive economic development, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals. Recent work includes the INNOTAL Erasmus project and EPIC Futures NI initiative addressing economic inactivity.

Teaching leadership across MBA, MSc Strategic Growth, and Social Enterprise Programmes, Pollard has designed and delivered over 300 executive education programmes. He currently leads the ESRC Impact Accelerator on ethnic minority entrepreneurship and co-investigates policy innovation partnerships.
