Steven K. Feiner

Steven K. Feiner is a Professor of Computer Science at Columbia Engineering, where he directs the Computer Graphics and User Interfaces Lab. His career spans over 25 years of pioneering research in human-computer interaction, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR).

Feiner's research focuses on advancing AR/VR systems, mobile and wearable computing, and information visualization. His lab has developed groundbreaking applications in tourism, journalism, medicine, and everyday computing, including the first mobile AR system using a see-through head-worn display and GPS in 1996.
