Dr. Steven Howe serves as Senior Research Fellow and Associate Director of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Legal Studies at the University of Lucerne's Faculty of Law. He holds a PhD in European Languages and Cultures from the University of Exeter. His research bridges law, art, and politics, with a focus on Weimar Germany, legal cinema, and political theatre. He has taught at institutions including Roma Tre University and the Australian National University. Since 2021, he leads the Critical Times interdisciplinary workshop series. In 2022, he secured an SNSF grant for the 'Imagining Justice' project examining law and visual culture in Weimar Germany.
