Steven Goodman is a Professor of Epidemiology and Population Health, and Medicine at Stanford University, serving as Associate Dean of Clinical and Translational Research. He leads initiatives like the Stanford Program on Research Rigor and Reproducibility (SPORR) and co-directs the Meta-research Innovation Center at Stanford (METRICS). His research focuses on improving research reproducibility, evidence synthesis, and clinical trial methodology. Goodman holds academic appointments in multiple departments and has served on prestigious committees such as the National Academy of Medicine and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
Educationally, he earned an AB from Harvard, an MD from NYU, and advanced degrees in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins.
