Dr. Steven Gedeon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). He serves as Director of the TorontoMet Entrepreneur Institute and has played a pivotal role in establishing TMU as having one of the largest entrepreneurship programs in the world. Dr. Gedeon teaches ENT 101 - Building an Entrepreneurial Mindset, which serves over 2,000 first-year students annually. His academic work spans multiple international institutions including University of Bologna (Italy), Bologna Business School, University of Applied Science Munich, and University of Applied Science Ostfalia (Germany).
Dr. Gedeon's research focuses on best practices in entrepreneurship education, assessment of learning outcomes, design of entrepreneurship programs, life design, personal empowerment, values, ethics, and trust. His work bridges academic theory with practical application, emphasizing experiential learning approaches that transform student mindsets and capabilities. His publications show a clear evolution from technology commercialization and venture capital toward educational innovation, life design, and the intersection of entrepreneurship with personal well-being.

His research has generated over $5,000,000 in entrepreneurship grants, charitable donations, and sponsorship funding. He has designed and implemented entrepreneurship curricula across 13 faculties at TMU, reaching over 1,300 students annually through 'Real Project' courses.
As Director of the TorontoMet Entrepreneur Institute, Dr. Gedeon leads one of the world's most comprehensive university-based entrepreneurship ecosystems. His work with the EntreTime EU Teach-The-Teacher program has trained over 150 entrepreneurship professors across Europe. He has also developed specialized programs for Fraunhofer Venture in Germany and consulted with over 100 top-tier corporate clients on technology commercialization and innovation.
