Steven D. Glassner, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at St. Mary’s University, joining in Fall 2023. Previously, he held an Associate Professor position at Tarleton State University. His research focuses on the long-term effects of victimization and trauma on youth behavior, particularly delinquency and substance use. Glassner has authored peer-reviewed articles in top journals, emphasizing bullying victimization, general strain theory, and youth development. He has taught over 20 criminal justice/criminology courses and advised numerous students. Prior to academia, he served 6 years in the U.S. Army.
