Steven Bernstein is a Distinguished Professor of Global Environmental and Sustainability Governance and Chair at the University of Toronto, affiliated with both the School of the Environment and the Department of Political Science. He co-directs the Environmental Governance Lab, focusing on global governance, climate policy, and sustainable development. His research addresses transformative decarbonization strategies, coherence in global sustainability frameworks, and institutional dynamics in international relations.
