Dr. Stephen W. Martin is a Professor of Theology and Chair of Theology at The King's University in Edmonton, Alberta. He holds a PhD from the University of Cape Town (1999), an MPhil from the Institute for Christian Studies (1993), and a BTh from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College (1985). His research focuses on South African theology, political theology, liturgy, Anglicanism, and reconciliation studies. He has authored numerous articles and books, including "Faith Negotiating Loyalties" (2008), and has contributed to debates on South Africa's post-apartheid political landscape and religious reconciliation efforts. His work often bridges theology with social justice, addressing topics like the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Nelson Mandela's legacy, and church-state relations.
